A big teaching from the Great Awakener

Yesterday morning, a famous saying from the Analects of Confucius “君子は和して同ぜず Kunshi wa washite do zezu” suddenly popped up in my mind. If I literally translate it, it means “A person of virtue keeps harmony but does not always agree with others.” I was just astonished to be reminded of this phrase because it is now a special period for me that Uranus is exactly passing over my Descendant.

In astrology, Uranus is known to bring sudden changes often disruptively. Initially, such changes are felt disturbing or unlucky. However, another name of Uranus, the Great Awakener, indicates that such abrupt changes often bring us life-changing awareness or ah-ha moments that will set us free from our trapping thoughts or long-term patterns. What Uranus truly brings us is not mishaps but the awareness of our cultural and social programming to initiate our authentic development of individuality.

Having my natal Uranus in the 11th house (the House of Community), this transit of Uranus over my Descendant shows me clearly with the Confucius message “Now, you know what to do in terms of relating with others and the outside world.”
